Winchester Buys.

I'm a fan of Winchester town, I think it's cute. I don't go there too often, though, as it's very samey.

I bought:
Maybelline New York Colour Sensational in 832; Kiss Pearl
Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Butter
Carmex Moisturising Lip Balm (Cherry)
Witch Blemish Stick
The packaging for the Witch Blemish Stick looks poo because my water leaked and it got ruined.

If I got passed my makeup collection and told to pick a favourite, this would definitely be it. I've owned it since I was a little 'un of about 11, though back then I didn't really have blemishes I liked to pretend I did and dab it on occasionally. After getting bored of it, having used it unnecessarily it got lost in my drawer until I was about 15, when I started to get the occasional spot and I dug this out and literally haven't put it back since, it's a definite staple in my makeup collection. It's cheap and it works amazingly. I've finally neared the end of my other one, so I purchased another one for when I do finally finish it.

I've never really felt the need to wear lipstick, especially as I've got braces and I feel like I don't need and colour on my lips. However, recently I've really wanted a coral or a nude lipstick to wear. After much swatching (so much swatching) on my hand, I decided I liked this one, unfortunately my friend dragged me out of Boots to head over to Superdrug. I couldn't find this again in Superdrug and we left. Later on, still wearing the swatches, I'd realised that it was still on there where some of the others had rubbed off, so I dragged my friend back to Boots and purchased it.

I've had my eye on this in Topshop for a while after using my friends and loving it. However there's no Topshop in Winchester so I managed to find it in Boots and I don't regret my purchase, it's amazing. I love the scent and it's really moisturising on the lips. Perfect.

Still playing it safe by buying things I've been looking at for a while, I decided to finally buy these knowing so many people love them. I chose this one as it smells amazing in the tub and on the skin. It's also pretty to look at. I like pink, ehe. c:

The downside to my purchases was that I bought the Blemish Stick, Lipstick and Balm thinking they'd be in the 3 for 2 at Boots and they weren't :c

Oh well.

London Purchases With Meemay ♥

I recently went to London and while I was there, I bought some items. These include:
Eyelash Curlers from Topshop
Collection 2000 Lasting Finish Concealer in 1; Fair
LUSH Bubblegum lip scrub
& I also bought
Models Own nail varnish in Lemon Meringue
Models Own Hed Kandi in Balearic Cool
But I've left them at my cousin's house, so I shall review them another time.

I know this concealer from Collection 2000 is a HG product for quite a few Beauty Bloggers, so I decided that since I'd run out of my concealer that I would buy this one to try it out and I actually really like it. I feel like it hides blemishes and my undereye circles really well and I like the applicator. For the price (just under £5), I think it's excellent. I actually got this free in the Boots 3 for 2 offer (with the Models Own nail varnishes) so I'm a very happy Essie, hehe. c:

Having not owned eyelash curlers in this format before (I had a heater wand thing which I hate) I don't feel like I can really say much about these. They were £5 from Topshop and I like them, they do the job, I just can't really compare them to anything. I like that they're black, too, I think they're quite pretty. Excuse the mouse ;)

Definitely my favourite purchase from the lot, I've never bought anything from LUSH before, but I do go in there. I've had my eye on this for a while and I finally decided to buy it. I love it, oh my gosh. It smells devine! I also love that you can lick it off, it tastes as good as it smells. Really. It also left my lips tasting nice, I really do love it. However, My lips are really sore recently and I'm not sure if it's an effect of this or that I've been drinking a little less water? I don't know, but I still love this product. LUSH, you have a new fan :)

London Happenings with Meemay and Steffanieee.

Recently I went to London with my cousin, Amy (Meemay) and Stephenie. They're very lovely c:

A very tired Jess and Amy returning home from London on the train. (I'm the one who looks monkeyish in the second one (ie. the one on the left) & Stephenie isn't in any photos, what a poo.)

Good old CamWow, eh?

ps. my cousin is adorable, look:

Revlon ColourStay & Little Box of Glamour

Having used a fair few foundation's that hadn't especially pleased me (most recently Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse) I'd decided on a change and read some reviews. I'd decided that I liked the sound of Revlon ColourStay and having read a lot of positive reviews I decided to purchase it (for £12.49 at boots.com).
I don't think they do it anymore, but there was still a Christmas gift-set that came free if you spent more than £10 on Revlon products, even though I bought this in March... I'm not complaining though ;) it came with
Grow Lucious by Fabulash Mascara in 001; Blackest Black.
Super Lustrous Lipgloss in 170; Coral Reef
Nail Enamel in 146; Gold Coin
& my foundation is:
ColourStay for Normal/Dry Skin in 110 Ivory with SPF 15.
I think the little box my things came in is adorable c:
Foundation & the contents of the Little Box of Glamour.

Though the staying power of this gloss isn't very good, I love the colour. It's a perfect peachy coral shade for a lipgloss. It's not sticky and the only real problem with it is that it doesn't stay on your lips for a long time.

I actually really like this nail varnish. When I received it, I was unsure how I felt about it because it looked watery, but it's actually really pigmented. It's recommended that you put 2 coats on, I didn't really need to but it made it better. I have a thing with painting a panel on my phone with nail varnishes and it's currently this nail varnish and it hasn't chipped at all. I would've had to pay£6.49 for it in Boots.

There's not a lot I can say about this mascara, as I use 4 mascaras out of habit. However this one is my favourite. The applicator is a brush and these are my favourite as I don't particularly like plastic ones as I don't feel like they properly grip my lashes. Mascara's aren't something I worry about too much and I'll just use whatever but I do really like this one. I would've had to pay £9.99 in Boots.

This is the only thing I paid for in the bunch and it's also the only thing I don't really like. When I was reading the reviews, it really appealed to me. I thought, who wouldn't like a foundation designed for their skintype? Well, me, apparently. I have normal/dry skin, I cleanse, tone and moisturise daily and I find that this makes my skin oily, but not in the way I want. I think perhaps it doesn't agree with my moisturiser, though I haven't yet tried it without moisturiser. I also don't like how this hasn't got a decent dispenser, like a pump, so I find that too much comes out at once and it's a waste. I do, however, think it gives a good coverage and is a great match to my skin tone. I don't really think it's worth £12.49.

This has been my first ever post, I hope it's not too obvious ;)
